Actual Free TeraBox Storage: How Much Do You Get?
TeraBox boldly claims to offer 1TB of free cloud storage, making it a strong marketing point, but the actual usable storage for free accounts is significantly less. While the TeraBox dashboard might display 1024GB, you’re limited in uploading only a maximum of 20 files, each with a maximum size of 4GB, meaning your actual storage capacity is closer to 80GB.
Surprisingly, TeraBox doesn’t clearly mention these limitations on their pricing page, making it easy for users to overlook this information during sign-up. From my experience, this can be frustrating if you’re expecting true 1TB space.
Testing The Limits

The TeraBox free 1TB offer sounds impressive, but limitations make the actual usable storage far less than advertised. Users can only upload 20 files (up to 4GB each), resulting in a maximum of 80GB nowhere near the full 1TB capacity. If you’re on a tight budget and need more space, consider upgrading to the premium plan at $3.49/month, which allows storing 50,000 files (up to 20GB each) and raises total storage to 2TB.
However, avoid using TeraBox Mod APK to unlock premium features without a subscription. Modified APKs pose significant security risks and would require you to be aware of the dangers.
